Why go vegan?

We slaughter 80 billion land animals every year and over 2 trillion fish.   Around 2 million bobby calves every year are slaughtered as bi-product of the NZ dairy industry, baby male chicks are ground up alive, chickens and pigs are confined in horrific conditions, and all are sentient, feeling beings.

Animal agriculture is the most destructive

industry on the planet and accounts for 91%

of Earth’s deforestation and FOUR times the greenhouse

gas emissions of all forms of

transport combined. It takes 25kg of food

to raise each 1kg of animal for slaughter and  a

burger takes 2498l water to produce.

IF YOU'RE

AGAINST ANIMAL

CRUELTY YOU

ALREADY

BELIEVE IN

BEING VEGAN

Why Vegan health.png

Properly done, a vegan diet is the healthiest way to eat on the planet. We now know that animal and dairy consumption correlates with
increased risk of cancer, heart disease, diabetes

and hormone health.
There is NO fibre in animal-derived food.
There is NO cholesterol in plant foods.
